Born in India but raised and educated in the U.S., and as the co-founder and Partner of the Invenchur group of companies, Sumeet “Sam” Nangia, Esq., has a unique background that includes U.S., Lat Am, Europe and Asia deal-making experience. With deep industry and professional relationships within these regions, he’s acts as an enabler and catalyst to your next deal or project.
With over 20 years of business, legal and brokerage experience, advising clients in various industries including real estate, renewable energy, startups, franchising, retail, manufacturing and technology, and being well versed in acquisitions, finance, joint ventures, project development, regulatory landscapes, and geopolitics — taking a holistic approach to engagements, working with local and regional counsel, tax advisors, banks and consultants, Mr. Nangia has experience managing and working on teams and projects, including strategic planning, project oversight and integration.
Mr. Nangia also works with Invenchur’s M&A, emerging growth, finance, private equity, structured finance, startup and real estate teams.
As an experienced attorney, business advisor and real estate broker, Mr. Nangia often acts as the communication hub for transactions across the United States and internationally. Specifically, he has experience assisting foreign clients with in-bound transactions into the U.S. and U.S. based clients with out-bound transactions into India, Lat Am and Europe. Mr. Nangia works closely with client and brokerage teams and provides advice and guidance related to strategic planning, project oversight and key private and public relationships, including access to capital markets.
Mr. Nangia started his career with PwC and later joined KPMG’s International Tax Advisory services group, where he worked on teams advising middle-market and Fortune 500 companies on international tax planning strategy, including holding company structures, tax treaty analysis and planning, the foreign tax credit regime, and other tax planning strategies, primarily related to outbound transactions and businesses.
Mr. Nangia’s experience also includes working with large public and private sector companies, including Shea Properties Lennar Homes, KB Homes, Shea Properties, Stater Bros., the Unitech Group (India), JLL (US & India), CBRE (US & India), Cushman & Wakefield (US & India).
Within the startup arena, Mr. Nangia has worked with numerous startups in the US and India, sits on, and spearheads Boards, and brings investor, strategic and business insights and relationships to his clients. He also works closely with US, Asia and Europe tax, accounting and finance firms and government bodies, bringing enhanced value to his startup clients.
Mr. Nangia also has business executive experience, serving as COO and General Counsel at the Black Lion Investment Group, a retail shopping center investment group based in Beverly Hills, California, assisting in growing the company by over 40x in 4 years.

Mr. Nangia received his LL.M. in Taxation and International / Corporate Law from the University of San Diego School of Law, his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and his dual undergraduate in economics and political science from UCLA. He currently lives in Orange County with his wife and two kids, who constantly inspire him.
